New Season Training Dates
Training has now finished for the summer break and will return in mid-August for the Men and September for everyone else - see "Training Times and Dates" below.
Want to play basketball or looking for a new Club?
Chiltern Basketball Club is always open to new players so if you think that you may be interested in joining us please read on.
We’ve been around since 1973, we normally train at Wycombe High School and offer structured training and competitive play for girls, boys, ladies and men, whatever their skill level.
Our Men’s 1st team, Chiltern Fastbreak, will be playing in Division 1 of the Wessex League from September having been promoted two years in a row. We are happy to welcome new players who can strengthen this team further and help lead us on to greater success next season.
Our Men’s 2nd team, Chiltern Force, was newly created for the 2009/10 season for two reasons. It was initially started to assist our U16 and U18 players in moving from Junior Leagues to the Senior level but, as the number of players attending Men’s training sessions grew, it also allowed more players to take part in competitive games.
At present we have just one Ladies team competing in the Wessex League. Our Ladies have had great success over recent years but had an up-and-down 2009/10 season due to injuries and player unavailability. It would be great if we could increase our numbers here so if you are keen to play then we would love to see you (older girls are also welcome to join the Ladies team). If we have enough interest at the start of the new season then we could even consider running a second team!
We will also, once again, be running Junior teams in the Bucks Basketball Central Venue League which is based in Aylesbury. The U12 team is mixed and the U16 is just for Boys. We are planning to arrange some local games for the Girls (12+) which would be played on a “home and away” basis, with our home games being played at Wycombe High School.
Training has now finished for the summer break but will restart in mid-August for the Men and September for everyone else (see "Training Times and Dates" below). Please feel free to come along, take a look, join in, ask questions – we’d love to see you whether you’re in year 5 at school or somewhat older! A "casual" training fee of £5 is payable per session with a membership fee being due if you decide to join us. If you would like to contact a coach now then please email us for more information.

For many years Chiltern has competed in local leagues around the Bucks, Middlesex and Oxfordshire areas. In the 2008/09 season, both the Senior Mens and Ladies teams competed in the Wessex Basketball League and will do so again in the 2009/10 season. Our Junior teams will be playing in a local Central Venue League which is based in Aylesbury and our Senior Boys are joining the Wessex League in a newly formed team.
We normally play at Wycombe High School (see Location for more details).
