Review of 2009/10 (U14 mixed)
This has been a great season for the Chiltern under-14s. We’ve played in the Aylesbury Central Venue League against teams such as Oxford Brookes, Fulbrook, Aylesbury Grammar, Shenley, Herts, South Bucks, and Aylesbury Dux. Our team consisted of Max Dugdale, Asim Naeem, Frank Jordan, Ryan Dowie, Drew Tate, Sam Sheppard, Alan Martin, Connor Underwood, Patrick Ball, Jess Funnell, Jack Walleans, Abbie MacGregor, James Dodds, Suleman Jarral, and Will Knapman. However, one of our key hopes for the season, Saif Jarral, was barred from playing in our team as he was ‘too good’… Our top scorer of the season was Asim Naeem, with a total or 62 points towards our score. The under-14 team has come a long way in this season, and we are now a formidable opponent for any team. Our best victory was over Aylesbury Dux on the 17th January this year. The final score was 42-11, with some great contributions to our dominance from all of the team. Overall, I would say that this has been a very good season for our entire team, with some very good victories. Although we did lose occasionally (doesn’t everyone?), I think I would be right in saying that we all thoroughly enjoyed playing for Chiltern.
